Patterns of Posture
with Anna Sobotka
ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE FOR ARTISTS
Whether you are an amateur or professional, a musician, actor, or dancer, the Alexander Technique can help you to achieve your personal and professional goals. The technique addresses the most important part of your practice and performance: you! The technique is a tool to improve your playing, practicing, performing, etc.
IN A SESSION
Anna will use verbal instructions and hands-on guidance to teach you how to use your thinking to release tension, while encouraging effortless posture and alignment.
You will learn how to manage your reactions to stimuli, while maintaining freedom throughout your body. This can be done through everyday movements such as sitting and standing, as well as movements or positions that your profession requires.
TEACHES HOW TO:
Prevent injury and pain during practice
Manage & eliminate stage fright/performance anxiety
Improve posture and movement
Use the breath easily and efficiently

The Alexander Technique can be sustaining; it is something that if learned well, can be carried along with you for the rest of your life. It gives you confidence to be who you are when you are up in front of an audience.
