Pain is a signal sent through the nerve fibers of the body to the brain alerting where there is injury, illness, or tension. Our reactions to pain include shortness of breath, increased heart rate, muscle contraction, postural collapse, as well as triggering the body’s fight or flight response. While these side effects deplete energy often we have little or no awareness of them. AT teaches how to use conscious thought to become aware of and change unconscious habits that contribute to discomfort, injury, and pain.
IN A SESSION
Through a process of one-on-one sessions, Anna's teaches the principles of AT so you can attain control over your body’s reactions to pain. Through verbal instruction and hands-on guidance, Anna will teach you how to use your thinking to undo harmful tension patterns that are affecting your overall functioning and contributing to discomfort.
By applying the AT principles of body and mind awareness, you can begin to eliminate pain and discomfort while increasing your energy and recovery time.
